New Delhi: Department of Education and School Literacy, the Ministry of Education will launch a national initiative for reading skills with understanding and numeration (Nipun Bharat) on July 5.
This will be virtually launched by Education Minister Union, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’.
Short videos, anthem guidelines and implementation on Nipun Bharat will also be launched during this program, according to official releases.

Important steps made by the Ministry of Education and School literacy, among a series of steps taken for the implementation of the 2020 National Education Policy, which was released on July 29, 2020.
The vision of Nipun Bharat’s mission is to create an environment that makes it possible to ensure universal acquisition of basic literacy and counting, so that each child achieves the desired learning competence in reading, writing and counting at the end of grade 3, in 2026-27.
Nipun Bharat will be implemented by the Ministry of Education and School literacy and the implementation mechanism of the five levels will be established at the level of national districts in all states and the United States, under the aegis sponsored centrally by the Samagra Shiksha scheme.
