Thane: Maharashtra Housing Minister Jitendra Awhad on Wednesday submitted a criminal case against religious leaders KaliCharan Maharaj and the other five for controversial comments about Mahatma Gandhi in Dharmansad recently in Raipur.
Besides the KaliCharan Maharaj, those who were ordered were Milind Ekbote, Nandkishor Ekbote, Mohan Sheete, a peak of Nagpure, and captain Dighendra Kumar.
Awhad, walked to the Naupada police station along with several NCP activists and registered this case.
Speaking to the media, Awhad said the complaint was related to the demeaning language used against Mr.
Mahatma Gandhi.
