Patna: Minister of Health Mangal Pandey claims on Monday that cases of dengue fever are under control in Bihar and do not need to panic.
“The department has made the settings needed for dengue fever patients in all hospitals and health centers in the state.
Facilities such as Elisa tests, blood platelets and separate wards with sufficient number of beds,” Pandey told this newspaper, adding that adding that The number of patients suffering from dengue fever has decreased significantly.
The minister further shows that in the first week of November, the government has sent health warnings to all district judges, civil surgeons, principals and supervisors of medical colleges and hospitals in the state and ask them to take urgent steps to prevent the spread dengue fever.
They were asked to do the steps needed for the sensitization of medical staff and paramedics in government and private hospitals.
“The Ministry of Health has also instructed the officials concerned to hold medical camps in the area affected by dengue and fogging,” Minister said.
Deputy Supervisor of Nalanda Medical College and Hospital, Dr.
Satish Kumar, also admitted that there was a decrease in the number of dengue fever patients in the past few days.
“Now, only four or five people who suffer from dengue fever were received at the hospital.
Most of the patients only visited the outpatient department,” he added.
In the past two months, Dengue has spread its tentacles in various parts of the country.
More than 200 patients were officially accepted in government hospitals and active Dengue cases reported as many as 24 districts.
