New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Union on Saturday declared sadness over the death of 10 patients in a fire incident in a civil hospital in Ahmednagar Maharashtra.
“Very sadly with a tragic accident in a civil hospital, Ahmednagar in Maharashtra.
When my sadness, my mind with a grieving family, and I pray for a quick recovery from injured,” Shah said in a tweet message.
Confirming the incident, Rajendra Bhosale District collector said that 10 patients died on Saturday in fire in the Ahmednagar hospital intensive care unit in Maharashtra.
According to him, there were 17 Covid-19 patients in the intensive care unit when the fire broke around 11am and reportedly spread to other wards.
Senior police officers have reached the place and have oversee rescue operations.
According to the report, six patients have suffered serious burns in this fire incident.
Some fire tenders rushed to the place to control the fire while the exact reason for fire was unknown.
The fire was extinguished.
Maharashtra Cabinet Minister and NCP Leader Nawab Malik said that the action would be taken against those who were found guilty and also said that the Chairperson of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray would announce compensation to KIN who died.
“The fire broke out in the ICU unit of the Ahmednagar Government Hospital, killed 10 people.
Someone was seriously injured.
We will check whether the hospital ‘Audit’ Hospital is done or not.
The action will be taken against those who are guilty.
CM will provide financial assistance to the deceased relatives, “Malik added.
