Minister of Law West Bengal passes edges ed in a coal case

Kolkata: Minister of Law Bengal Moloy Ghatak did not attend the Enforcement Headquarters in New Delhi on Tuesday and told the institution that he would not be able to attend questioning with a short time.
But Ghatak said he was willing to work with agencies in the investigation.
Ed had called Ghatak to appear before being questioned in the case of illegal coal mining.
According to sources, Ghatak has a cabinet meeting on Monday and cannot prepare documents that have been sought after.
On Tuesday, he wrote a letter asking agent officers to question him through video conferencing.
Ghatak also asked if the agency team could go down to Kolkata and question him.
His lawyer then interacts with ED officials, said the source.
Central agencies, who are investigating illegal coal mining in Bengal, previously asked MP TMC Abhishek Banerjee and his wife Rujira in connection with this case.
It also questioned several police officers to find out the steps they took to stop illegal coal mining in the state.
Banerjee has been asked to appear before ED on September 21.
