Minister of Pakistan said ‘worry’ for the situation of Afghanistan

Islamabad: Pakistani National Security Adviser Moeed Yusuf on Friday said that his country was worried about the developing security situation in Afghanistan, adding peace in war-hit by Washington and Islamabad’s best interests.
“We are worried about the current situation in this country,” he stressed during a press conference in the US capital after holding a discussion with senior official administrative officials, including NSA Jake Sullivan, reported international news.
He also defended Pakistan on charges of helping the Taliban, saying that Afghanistan had transferred mistakes due to his failure in neighboring countries.
“I came here on the direction of Prime Minister Imran Khan to find out political solutions to Ibroglio Afghanistan,” said Moeed Yusuf, reported dawn.
In recent developments, the Taliban attacked the province of Nangarhar and arrested several security checkpoints in the Achin border district and Pacher Wa Agam Hesarak, Sherzad, Pacher Wa Agam, Deh Bala (HSKA Mina), Achin Regency, and Surkhrod had experienced an increase in Taliban attacks .
Meanwhile, US national security adviser Jake Sullivan met with his partner Pakistan Moeed Yusuf in Washington and discussed issues regarding regional security, including the urgent need for political settlement negotiated for conflict.
The meeting between the two NSA has significance in the background of mounting violence in Afghanistan.
Apart from the August time limit which was approaching quickly from the withdrawal of US and NATO troops, negotiations between the Afghan government and the Taliban did not move forward.
