New Delhi: BJP on Wednesday appointed Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to conduct polls of the Punjab, which will be held early next year.
The party has also appointed Minister of Union Hardeep Singh Puri and Meenakshi Lekhi along with MP Vinod Chavda as co-incharges for assembly polls.
Punjab will go to the poll along with Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur next year.
BJP is at the end of the recipient of the farmers’ protest against three agricultural laws in Punjab, a country that is deemed most influenced by the shower.
The Safron party has attracted all the stops to emerge as a strong force in the Punjab set for a multi-pounded contest among the powerful Congress, AAP, Shiromani Akali Dal-BSP Alliance and BJP.
