Ludhiana: Minister of Punjab and the Minister of Trade Gurkirat Singh Kotli on Wednesday lay stone Foundation Markfed Factory for Vanaspati and processed oil to be built with estimated RS 23 crore costs.
The factory will ensure quality oil production in addition to providing work to more people.
Kotli, while interacting with people’s media, said, “Markfed factory in Khanna is more than five decades and it is a requirement to improve it.
Given the strengthening of brand names and producing oil in accordance with consumer needs, the Punjab government has decided to build plants equivalent to Physical refineries that will produce 100 metric tons of vanaspati and 110 oil metrics.
The factory will be completed in 15 months.
