Dehradun: The Uttarakhand Education Department has decided to improve salary slabs for teachers in private schools.
Slab will be decided based on charged fees and the number of students at school.
The main objective is to provide education at the lowest cost.
According to the Minister of Education Arvind Pandey, the decision was based on the proposed guidelines from the State School Standard Authority (SSSA), the formation suggested in the National Education Policy, 2020.

This will enable the Ministry of Education to improve the ratio of minimum teachers in private schools.
At present, the ratio of 30 students for one teacher is recommended by the Ministry of Education.
SSSA will also empower education officers to examine private schools.
At present, they are not many authorities over private schools.
In particular, the proposal for building SSSA was made last month at the cost of the Law, where the department had spent several years in preparation.
