New Delhi: The Ministry of Finance on Thursday said that more than two refunds of income tax have been submitted in a new portal, where a number of technical problems have been completed and the performance of the platform has been “substantially stabilized”.
The I-T department suggested taxpayers to submit their return for the earliest financial year and suggest that the archive return must check TDS and detailed payment to utilize pre-archiving facilities.
In addition, it is said that e-proceding and facial processes have been activated with functionality, including video conferencing for assessment and seeking delays or appointments and archiving by official representatives.
“The taxpayer has been able to see more than 12.2 lakh notifications issued by the department under the assessment / face-facial / penalty trial, which more than 6.2 lakh response has been submitted,” he said.
Since its launch in early June, taxpayers and practitioners complained about major disruptions, pushing FM Nirmala Sitharaman to take problems with infosys, vendors for new portals.
The problem has forced the government to postpone the backline of the return of return and compliance.
With things that seem to stabilize, the ministry’s interference with major technology also seems to have been reduced.
