New Delhi: To further strengthen the framework of vocational and technical training, the Ministry of Development of Skills and Entrepreneurship signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Indira Gandhi Open University (Ignou), on Tuesday.
According to the Ministry of Development of Skills and Entrepreneurship, this partnership aims to link vocational education and training with higher education, making Indian youths be employed by creating a way for them to access better employment opportunities.

Under the partnership, 32 NSTI, more than 3,000 governments, 500 PMKK and nearly 300 JSS will be associated with Ignou because of the registration center, the inspection center and work center for direct training, declare service.
In accordance with the ministry, through collaboration, students will now get the opportunity to join the Ignou three-year degree program.
There will be a project director committee with representatives from MSDE and Ignou to monitor and review the progress of the program.

This MoU deals with the goals of continuing development 4.4 and national education policy (NEP) 2020 to increase gross registration ratio (GER) in higher education including vocational education of up to 50 percent by 2035, the Ministry said.
Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary, the Ministry of Skills and Entrepreneurship Development praised the initiative and stated that the Indian Young Demographic Dividend was a machine for its economic progress and needed access to a significant track to receive quality education and vocational training, and vocational training.

Prof.
Nageshwar Rao, Representative of Chancellor, Ignoo stated that Ignou would provide all the support needed through 21 study schools and 56 regional centers for the successful implementation of this scheme.
Ignou will develop a standard for quality assurance, developing a counseling training and coach training program to facilitate student registration, train staff from the centers identified to handle registration and counseling, and nstis management mentors, itis, PMKKS and JSSS, declare their ministries.
It will also provide independent learning materials (SLM) in digital form, conduct comprehensive evaluations and carry out final examinations for their own components, and issue certificates to successful students, he added.
