Thane: In a surprising incident, two friends including small children (17) were arrested because they brutally killed a 14-year-old boy when they robbed the victim’s gold chain and half tola at Bhiwandi Taluka from the Thane District.
The defendant when playing took a 14-year-old child to a blank flat in the same apartment where the victim was.
The defendant’s duo strangled the victim’s boy to death with a rope and escaped with the golden chain.
The defendant has been identified as Akshay Waghmare (24) and a 17-year-old little boy, police said.
The police further added that the deceased (identified as Soham Bajie) was studying in the ninth standards and was in Sai Ram Society in the Bappgaon area in Bhiwandi Taluka.
The police said that the victim was lost on Wednesday night.
Padgha police investigated the case saying that when underage children did not return home, his father Eknath approached the police and filed a missing complaint.
Seeing the seriousness of this case, the police launched the search and body of Soham found from the first floor-based flats of the same building that lay empty.
The police immediately registered the murder case and started the probe into this case.
Members of three teams formed.
During the probe, the police questioned them the last to meet with the victim and identified two defendants who on the investigation provided a different version but when asked they claimed to kill Soham.
