Jammu: A 16-year-old boy from Kashmir, who was occupied by Pakistan (Pok), who accidentally deviated across the control line to India, was detained by soldiers in the Poonch J & K district on Tuesday.
“The boy was identified as Khyam Maqsood, a resident of Harkadiya Bala in the Abbaspur Pok area,” said a defense spokesman based in Jamu, said Devender Anand.
The detention came four days after three small boys from Pok – who had crossed to the Indian team on August 18 while fishing and had been arrested – repeated with prizes on August 20.
During their two-day stay in India, Trio has also taken for school visits, playing cricket and escorted to the local mosque for prayer.
They were given new clothes and received a lot of present as a good intention token.
In January this year, a 14-year-old boy from Mirpur Pok was sent back after accidentally crossing to the Poonch district.
In December 2020, two girls – aged 13 and 17 – from Abbaspur Pok had entered India and repatriated the same.
