Thane: A filmmaker and two others were arrested for allegedly running sex rackets in Mira Road of Maharashtra’s Thane District, police said on Tuesday.
The police had a tip-off that the film producer runs a sex racket and allegedly forced the woman into the trade of meat under Garb to give them a chance in the films, said Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime Police Dr.
Mahesh Patil.
Racket is being operated from the housing complex on Jalan Mira since many years, he said, adding that the main allegations of Khanayalal Balchandani were being helped by one Vanita Ingle, which acted as an agent.
The police sent bait customers and stormed the place in the housing complex and arrested three were accused, and saved two women, he said.
Violations under the relevant sections of IPC and the IPC (ribbon) (ribbon) have been registered with the Trio at the Mira Road police station, the official added.
