PANAJI / CALANGUTE: A 19-year-old girl from North Goa, who was missing since Wednesday morning, was found dead in semi-naked conditions on the Calangute beach on Thursday.
Police Inspector Calangute (PI) Nolasco Raposo told Ti that the autopsy report, conducted at the Goa Medical College (GMC) and the hospital, has linked the cause of death to sink and has put aside sexual violence.
Unnatural death cases have been registered.
The girl was last seen in Guirim where she was dropped by her father to continue the journey to her workplace in Porvorim.
However, when he did not appear to work, his parents received a call from his employer, police said.
His cellphone was later found in his house.
His father then filed a complaint of missing people at the police station Mapapaa on Wednesday night.
The girl has been on leave for medical reasons and is scheduled to continue the task on Wednesday.
