Nagpur: With the elimination of members of the Central Committee of the Indian Committee (Maois) Milind Teltumde, the Gadchiroli police might get a gift prize but they did not seem to have a mood to sunbathe in glory.
Quietly but continuously, the Gadchiroli police learned to move the focus on South Gadchiroli which is also the gateway to the fortress Maois Abhujmadh or commonly known as ‘Madh’ spread on the border of Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh.
The arrest of senior senior women’s senior leader Narmada in the past and Teltumde’s latest meeting on November 13 has now left other experienced leaders, Tarakka and Sonu aka Bhupathi at the forefront of leading armed rebellions in Gadchiroli and other parts of India.
The mid-level Maoists leaders from Gadchiroli consist of a combination of young and experienced fighters such as Girdhar, Raghu, Rupesh and Laxman in South Gadchiroli.
Apart from the knowledge of Medan and proficient in the Guerilla war, this intermediate leadership also ordered respect for local masses in South Gadchiroli.
Even though with a recurring meeting, the Gadchiroli police have managed to abandon the establishment of a Maoist company that almost four who are almost weakened at North Gadchiroli, they have not made dents in the number 10 rebel unit in the south.
The company learned number 10 is entrusted with Abhujmadh protection and operates on its borders along the boundary of Maharashtra.
According to officials, a long stretch of 200 km from the border of Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh which was also shared by Abhujmadh is very important for Maharashtra.
“Following the instructions of central government, stress will be on operations between countries along the border to stop Maois not to infiltrate different countries to avoid police actions,” said an official.
“It is impossible to close the limit but repeatedly operating throughout the border region will prevent Maois from entering a country whose security forces constantly target them,” he said.
“In 2018, Maois had experienced an unprecedented setback at the National Police and Boriya with 40 of them neutralized in South Gadchiroli.
The police will return with more strength to overcome rebels in the south,” said an official source.
Educated Maoist leaders such as Tarakka and Laxman have discussed a meeting in three places in different villages along the border of Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh posting Mardintol’s meeting where Teltumde is neutralized.
The leaders have recognized extraordinary operational forces and police skills and vowed to surprise them with a new strategy.
SP Ankit Goyal said there was no room for satisfaction after neutralizing 27 cadres in North Gadchiroli.
“We have intensified our civil actions to mass with different schemes, projects and programs.
Parally, operational pressure will also be equally maintained.
The strategy remains the same for the police and the pressure is maintained at the rebels,” said Goyal.
