Ranchi: The Chairman of the Minister of Hemant Soren on Wednesday praised the contribution of Christian missionaries to surprise education among the Jharkhand community community.
“Over the years, missionaries have played an important role in providing education to state tribes and their development.
In my opinion, missionaries contribute 50% to the state education system,” said Soren in his speech as the main guest at Warning 50 Years of Gossner College.
“I, with my brothers (former late legislator Jama Durga Soren and Incumbent Dumka MLA Basant Soren), studied for some time at school missionaries in Dumka during the 1980s.
We stayed at the school hostel.
Even though I live in cities like New Delhi, Bokaro, Ranchi and Patna, memories of school mission are still fresh in my mind, “Soren said.
Gossner College, which was run by Gossner Evalgelical Lutheran Church, was founded in 1972.
Nowadays 27 departments.
Together with Gossner school, it provides education to around 9,000 students.
Soren said: “Covid-19 has affected the education of children.
The world turned to online class.
During a pandemic, missionaries tried hard to provide assistance to the tribal community living in the interior of the country.”
