Kolkata: This center has freezed all charity missionary bank accounts founded by Bunda Teresa, head west of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee claims on Monday.
Expressing Shock, Banerjee said that this step had left missionaries of 22,000 charitable patients and employees without food and medicine.
“Surprised to hear it on Christmas, the Ministry of Union evokes all bank accounts for missionaries Amal Mother Teresa in India! 22,000 patients & their employees are left without food & medicine,” he tweeted.
“While the law is the most important, humanitarian efforts should not be compromised,” added Banerjee.
