Guwahati / Aizawl: Assam and Mizoram are in the “war” on their borders, despite words and not actions, both of them accuse breaking each other’s limits to their territory.
While Head of Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma told the State Assembly on Monday that Mizoram has penetrated more than 40 times to Assam since 2016, Mizoram has vowed to protect his limit from his neighbors.
Mizoram shared around 160 km-long with Assam.
Female Minister Mizoram Lalchamliana said that the government did not want to be the first to start action in border problems with Assam.
“On the contrary, we are ready to take any action to protect the territory of the country at all.
The Mizoram government condemned the acts of violence updated by the attack on Mizoram’s land recently,” he said.
In Guwahati, Sarma stated that there were more than 200 incidents of encroachment and aggression from neighboring Assam.
He stated this in a written reply to the opposition leader Debabrata Saikia in Assaja Assam.
