Aizawl: Indian Hockey Players Lalremesami, who is part of a team of women who finished fourth at the Tokyo Olympics, has been appointed as head of the coach, a group post, under the Mizoram and Adolescent People’s Services Department.
The Mizoram government on Thursday offered group positions to Lalremsami as an award for his appearance at the Quadrennial program recently.
Lalremsami, the first women’s Olympics from Mizoram, was made as the main coach in a hockey discipline under the Department of Sports and Youth Service, a post similar to the assistant director director.
“Proudly announced that the Government of Mizoram has approved the removal of MS Lalremiami, a national hockey player and the only Olympics from #Mizoram in Tokyo Olympic 2020 to Pos Chief Coach (Hockey) Group – Post under the Sports & Youth Service Department,” Chief Minister of Zoramthanga Write on the official Twitter handle the end of Thurday Night.
On Wednesday, the state government has allocated a house plot measuring 691.85 square meters to Lalremiami in the city of origin of collathiably.
The land belongs to state land resources & water and land conversations departments.
The previous state government also announced a cash prize from Rs 25 Lakh for Lalremiami, which was outside, Rs 10 Lakh was handed over to his mother Lalzarmawii on June 24.
Lalremsami will arrive at Mizoram on August 25 and Lalsangliana state sporting director said special functions will be held at Vanapa Hall in Aizawl on August 26 to give a warm hockey star.
“The remaining RS 15 RS money incentives, job appointment letters and other prizes will be handed over to him during the ceremony,” he told PTI.
The 21-year-old child from the city of Mizoram, which borders Assam, is known as the First Women’s Olympics from Mizoram who loves sports.
The last Olympics of the country were Archer C Lalremsanga, representing India in Barcelona 1992 and the 1992 Atlanta Olympics and his teammate had approached the medal at the Tokyo Olympics and ended fourth after losing 3-4 to defend the United Kingdom champion.
