New Delhi: Among the 68 names that were cleaned for an appointment with HC Judge by Collegium SC was Marli Vanperung, who currently assesses the Aizawl district and comes from the schedule of the tribal community.
If the government approved his appointment, he would be the first, and a woman, to be appointed from Mizoram as Judge Gautati HC.
Daughter Brig C Vankunga, Marli Vanperung conducted LLB from the University of Delhi and MPhil from JNU before joining Judicial Mizoram services.
Collegium also cleanses three other names, including two of St Community – VanKung from Mizoram and advocated by SEMA from Nagaland – recommended by Gahati HC until June 5, 2021, and where the SC rental room has received from the Ministry of Law on August 16.
In 15 days, Collegium SC cleans the names for Gautati HC.
