Mla Badruddin Ajmal resigned, began joining BJP today

Guwahati: MLA sat from Badruddin Ajmal All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) stopped from the party on Tuesday.
This was the first time aIudf legislator resigned.
Phanidhar Talukdar, MLA from the Bhabanipur legislative constituency, is likely to join BJP here in the presence of Assam CM Himanta Buswa Sarma on Wednesday.
There is speculation since the last few weeks he will join BJP.
He has compiled for the State Assembly poll at the beginning of this year on AIUD tickets and defeated the Asom Gana candidate in the Ranjit Parish Deka.
Secretary General AIUD (Organizing) Aminul Islam accused BJP of “extortion” and “pressing” Talukday to join the party.
“He has also been captivated by a promise of power,” he said.
With the resignation of Talukdar from Assembly Association membership, the number of empty seats will rise to six.
He tends to resign from membership on Wednesday.
