Kolkata: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA in West Bengal “disappeared” under the mysterious state of early Thursday only for the surface six hours later at the nearest police station, officials said.
Chandana Bauri, a member of the parliament from the Saltora Assembly seat, was reported missing by her husband around 2:45 a.m.
for the CISF command which was deployed to protect it under the ‘X’ Central Security Cover category.
The search was launched and his cellphone was called, officials said.
MLA told the command of the Central Industry Security Force (CISF) by telephone that he was at the Gangajalghati police station and he reportedly left home after a quarrel with her husband.
Mla then accompanied the security team to reach his house around 9:30 a.m.
Bauri, 30, is the wife of a daily breadwinner and has won the assembly poll just concluded to beat her rival Trinamool Congress (TMC).
Under the lowest ‘X’ category, central VIP security cover, at least two armed commanders present all the time with protectee in their residence.
A number of BJP MLA provided this cover by the Ministry of Home Union, given the possibility of a threat to them posting the election.
