ULHASNAGAR: The Central police station in Ulhasnagar on Friday registered an FIR against a social worker Ram Wadhwa and his associates for breaking Covid-19 lockdown norms on the complaint of BJP MLA Kumar Ailani’s son Dheeraj.
The police said three days ago, a dog had died near the office of the Wadhwa situated in Gol Maidan area.
Looking at which Wadhwa had claimed to contact the MLA’s PA and others to remove the dog, but when the dog was not removed from there for 12 hours, Wadhwa along with his associates picked up that dog which he later at 11 pm as a protest kept outside the MLA’s house for some time and later took the dog to Murbad where they performed his last rites.
In the FIR, Kumar’s son Dheeraj has alleged that Wadhwa instead of contacting sanitation officer of Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation or local ward officer deliberately to defame the image of his father placed the dead dog’s body in front of the house to spread the disease there.
Meanwhile acting on the complaint of Dheeraj, the police have booked Wadhwa for violating Covid-19 lockdown norms for being out on the road after 5pm, despite the Covid curfew.
However, Wadhwa has alleged that as a public representative it is the duty of Ailani to listen to the public’s complaint but he is not performing his duty and slapping FIR for raising his voice against him.
If sources to believe that in past too Wadhwa had targeted Ailani family over several issues and both had the dispute.
