MNF won the tuirial assembly chair in the selection of Mizoram

Aizawl: Candidates for the Mizo National Front (MNF) regulation (MNF) K Laltawngliana won the election with the election of the Tuirial Assembly held on October 30 by defeating the nearest rival of Laltlanmawia Movement of the Zoram (ZPM) of 1,284 votes.
Vote counting was conducted in the city of Kolastic, Kabupaten Kabupaten Headquarters at the Assam border from 8am on Tuesday.
Laldawngliana secured 5,820 votes, while Laltlanmawia bagged 4,536 votes, followed by the Indian Chalrosanga Ralte of the National Congress (Inc.) which received 3,927 votes.
BJP Nominee K Laldinthara managed to get 306 votes and lose security deposit.
Laldawngliana, 49, who received a master’s degree (MA) from the University of Pune in 2001, was the Chairman of the Mizoram Federation from the Cooperative (Mizofed) community before he joined active politics and was nominated as a MNF candidate.
Except for Ralte, all three other candidates are new faces and oppose the election for the first time.
With the rials of the people at Bypoll, the MNF has now increased its strength in the legislature of 40-member countries with 28 members, while ZPM now has six members, Congress five legislators and BJP.
Bypoll to the tuirial assembly chair was required by the death of the legislator sitting Andrew H Thangliana from ZPM.
Three elections have been held in the state after the general election to the state legislature at the end of 2018, where the powerful MNF won two seats and ZPM one.
