Mumbai: Vice President Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Akhil Chitre on Tuesday Solving a Handi Dahi near the height of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray Matoshree in the Kalanagar Bandra area in the protest of the state government.
As a result, police Kherwadi then registered a case against Chitre and other party workers Omkar Khandekar, who accompanied him.
In the video of the incident, one of the two men was seen standing along the main road and the others sat on his shoulders and solved ‘Handi’s forehead’ (pitcher clay filled with dadih) tied with a tree trunk.
“The police ordered me and one party worker again under Section 188 (not obeying the orders of public servants) from the Indian criminal code and asked us to report to the Kherwadi Police Station.
We will complete all legal formalities,” Chitre PTI said.
Six fires have been registered so far in Kasturba Marg, Ghatkopar, Worli, when Chowki, Dadar, and Sakinaka police in Mumbai against several MNS workers, including senior leaders and former MLA Bala Nandgaonkar, to arrange the Handi Dahi event.
CM Thackeray had last week it was interesting for the Handi’s forehead festival organizers to “put aside” celebrations to avoid the spread of Coronavirus and give priority to people’s health.
MNS workers on Tuesday set the ‘Dahi Handi’ event in various places in Mumbai, Thane and Palghar opposed the ban.
