Moderna Inc.
on Tuesday seeks conditional marketing authorization with European medicine agents for the use of the Covid-19 vaccine in children in the age group 6-11 years.
This vaccine was authorized to be used in adolescents aged 12 to 17 years by the European Union in July, but some countries including Sweden have paused their use for people aged 30 years and bottom due to the side effects related to the heart.
Drug makers seek the authorization of vaccines to be used at adolescent age in June and are awaiting decisions by food and administration of US drugs.
“This marks our first submission for our vaccine use in this age group,” said Stéphane Bancel, a modern chief executive, adding companies to submit data to other supervisory agencies around the world.
