Modi gets Independent Independent Security Policy: Amit Shah

New Delhi: Indian security policy “influenced or overlap” with foreign policy and only after Narendra Modi became the prime minister that the country received an independent security strategy, said Minister of Home Amit Shah on Saturday.
Shah delivered a ‘Rustamji’ warning lecture ‘and was attended by personnel and officers of the Border Security Force (BSF).
He also gave a reckless medal to serve personnel and for those who were killed in the ranks of the task of the largest border power in the country.
“I used to think if there was a security policy of this country or not? Until Narendra Modi became the prime minister we did not have an independent security policy,” Shah said.
“It was influenced by foreign policy or overlapping with foreign policy,” he said.
After Narendra Modi became the prime minister, the country received an independent security policy, he added.
“Our idea is to have a peaceful relationship with all but if someone disturbs our borders, if someone challenges our sovereignty, our security policy priority is that such efforts will be answered in the same language,” Shah said.
He said this security policy was “great achievement” because the country wants a good plan.
“I believe without this (security policy) both the country can progress or democracy can prosper,” said Minister at Home “Modiji (PM) has done this great job.
I do not want to give an example like that,” he said adding the policy was made operational in the field by his government.
Shah also stated that his government worked to ensure that “there would be no gap in the fence” along the Indian border in 2022.
He said about three percent of the country’s borders had no effect today and this had left “large space”.
For terrorist infiltration and other border crimes such as weapons smuggling, ammunition and narcotics among others.
The Minister of Home Affairs said India would soon develop original counter-drone technology being carried out by technical organizations such as Drdo and several other institutions.
His comment came in the background of the first drone attack on the IAF station in Jammu last month where two unmanned air vehicles dropped a bomb that injured two pilots in it.
The Minister added that the establishment of security and technology development also worked on artificial intelligence and robotic technology as part of a long-drawn project.
About the powerful personnel of around 2.65 lakh, the BSF guards were more than 6,300 km from the Indian Front with Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Lecture warnings and investiture ceremonies are annual affairs to remember the first head contribution or Director General (DG) K F Rustamji.
An officer from the 1938 batch of the Imperial Time Imperial police, Rustamji led BSF for nine years.
He died in 2003.
