New Delhi: Congratulations on the Padma Award, Minister of Home Union Amit Shah said on Monday that it was truly a unique effort by the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make Padma award award.
Shah’s statement came after President of RAM Nath Kovind presented four Padma Vibhushan, eight Padma Bhushan and 61 Padma Shri Awards for 2020 in the morning at the civilian investment ceremony – I held Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Among the officials who attended the occasion were Vice President of India, the Prime Minister and Minister of Comparative.
Taking to Twitter, the Minister of House said, “This is a truly unique effort by the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make Padma giving awards from ordinary people.” In a series of tweets, Shah said that “the life of George Fernandes Ji which is late is an extraordinary example of selfless service for the nation, from opposing an emergency on the progress of the country while holding various positions.
This is a matter of extreme happiness that he has been honored by the mod to government with Padma Vibhushan.

“Given the former foreign minister and BJP leader Sushma Swaraj, Shah said that his life was dedicated to public welfare and service to the nation.
He said Swaraj would always be remembered because it connected the ministry of external affairs with the general public.
“This is the true reward for him to be given the Padma Vibhushan Award by the Modi government for his contribution to the development of the country,” Shah said.
The Union Minister also said that the day was a very good day for Gujarat as Gafurbhai M.
