Dehradun: BJP President JP Nadda on Saturday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi to prioritize the defense sector by increasing the budget allocation for various, providing a fresh boost to build border infrastructure and increase the moral of the armed forces by celebrating the gods every year together with soldiers on the border.

He said the budget allocation for defense has risen multiply since Modi assumed the office in the middle and there was a much larger emphasis today at the border road and train links in the border area.
In 2011-12 the budget allocation for defense was the 1,45,000 crore Rs which had increased to Rs 4,78,000 Crore at this time, he said.
These steps have explained that the defense is a priority for the Prime Minister, Nadda said.
He said the longest highway tunnel in the world that connects 9.02 KM connecting Manali at Himachal Pradesh with a height of 10,000 feet, the foundation stone was placed by former Prime Minister Bihari Vajpayee, implemented under Modi’s leadership after 10 years under the UPA.
It also connects Manali to Lahaul-Spitie Valley throughout the year.
Previously the valley was cut off for about six months every year due to heavy snowfall.
Nadda also talked about new tunnel projects built by border organizations Roads (bro) on road routes and trains, and added 73 border roads and 3,812 km of weather roads built under the leadership of Modi.
Speaking at the event, Uttarakhand Chairman of the Minister of Pushkar Singh Dhami thanked the party’s leadership for giving the son of a retired army like him the opportunity to serve the country as “Mukhya Sevak”.
