Panaji: Secondary Secondary Education Council of Goa has announced last month that the changed assessment pattern will be implemented for class X and XII students for the current academic year 2021-22, due to a pandemic.
This council has now announced changes in the evaluation pattern for class IX and XI students during this year.
The idea is to ensure that the assessment is carried out throughout the year, so that if conventional examinations cannot be held because the pandemic is still possible to evaluate students.
The Board said that for class IX and XI students there will be the first term exam, not the second quarterly test.
Likewise, there will be a second term exam, replace the fourth test.
The first and second term exam will be held from 40 values.
The exam will be in the form of multiple choice questions or in the form of subjective type questions.
Students will be given projects and task jobs each of ten values and they will be assessed for 20 values for internal assessments throughout the year.
Overall, the internal assessment component will consist of 40 marks.
For subjects with a practical component too, there will be 10 sign project work, in addition to 10 signs for the year-round assessment.
“The part of the first term is the first quarterly test and the second quarter and the second term is the third quarterly and quarterly fourth.
Final results to be prepared in accordance with class X and XII schemes,” the council said.
Signs in the first term and examination of the second term will contribute to the final score of the students.
When announcing a policy for class X and XII assessing for 2021-22, the Council of Goa said, “The Council of Goa must cancel the XII Council XII and class XII 20-2021 exam because it is at risk of doing them in the second wave in April 2021.
The results of both stated Based on an objective, flexible, and valid alternative assessment policy.
This, in turn, also requires deliberations on alternative ways to see learning goals.
