Modinagar: Jan Shatabdi Train runs more than 2 female students

Ghaziabad: Two girls were trimmed by New Delhi-Dehradun Janshatabdi Express in Modinagar when they crossed the track, officials said on Saturday.
The girls, who were identified as Priya, 17, and Shivani, 20 were residents of the Nandnagari Modinagar colony in Ghaziabad and returned home after buying household items when the incident occurred around 4:30 a.m.
on Friday.
According to North Railways officials, the train driver who ran over the girls, when asked, said that when the train was at the top line, the item train was on the bottom line.
The audience said that the girls stopped at the intersection after paying attention to practicing items, but failed to see the Jansathabdi train.
They told the police that the girls could not hear the train whistle due to the loud voice of DJs, which were being played in a function near the crossroads.
The driver claimed to have seen the two girls standing on the lane where Janshatabdi passed and in his statement he had said that he had honked several times and even applyed an emergency brake, but could not stop timely to save the girls, it said officials .
The train also said that he had built cement boundaries on both sides of the track to prevent unauthorized entries.
According to information received, while Priya was in the 12th standards, Shivani chased BSC courses.
The bodies were handed over to parents, outpost incharge from the police Railway Government (GRP) Modinagar, Sub-Inspector Baburam Singh told PTI.
After the request of their parents, the body of the two girls was handed over to them without autopsy, train.
Such examples are not considered as “train accidents” by the train and the victims are referred to as “intruders”.
