NEW DELHI:”A 32-year-old guy was detained for allegedly strangling his friend to death on a financial dispute and dumping his body into a pit,” authorities said Friday.
Deepak Dabas, both the accused, along with Rohit Chhikara alias Neeraj (35) understood each other for the previous five to six decades.
Chikara frequently borrowed funds against the accused but not returned the quantity and this frequently resulted in debates between these, according to the authorities.
“On the night of June 11 and 12, Dabas shot Chikara into a abandoned plot in Kanjhawala place where he offered him later strangled him” he stated.
“He afterwards dumped his body in a pit into a temple at Garhi Rindhala village, eight kilometres from Kanjhawala,” said a senior police officer.
Authorities said they also have detained 24-year-old Vishal who had given shelter to Dabas following the episode.
“Chikara’s body has been retrieved in June 12,” Rohini Deputy Commissioner of Police Pranav Tayal stated.
