New Delhi: Former Minister of Houses Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh has moved the Supreme Court to seek protection from ‘coercive actions’ in money laundering.
Deshmukh was being examined by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) in the case of alleged extortion from the orchestra bar in the state.
He had missed a previous call by the agency to display himself.
On Saturday, the agency issued another notification to Deshmukh and his son appeared before him during the coming week.
Deshmukh has been asked to record his statement at the central agency office in Mumbai on Monday.
His son Hrishikesh Deshmukh has also issued a summons to emerge the next day at 6.
Deshmukh last week wrote to Ed revealed his inability to question himself to be questioned.
