New Delhi: Former Minister of Houses Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh has moved the Supreme Court to seek protection from ‘coercive actions’ in money laundering.
Deshmukh was being examined by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) in the case of alleged extortion from the orchestra bar in the state.
He had missed a previous call by the agency to display himself.
On Saturday, the agency issued another notification to Deshmukh and his son appeared before him during the coming week.
Deshmukh has been asked to record his statement at the central agency office in Mumbai on Monday.
His son Hrishikesh Deshmukh has also issued a summons to emerge the next day at 6.
Deshmukh last week wrote to Ed revealed his inability to question himself to be questioned.

Ed had alleged that Rs 4.7 Crores was collected from the orchestra bar by firing Cop Sachin Waze, allegedly in Deshmukh’s instructions, transferred to the trust of education-based education by his son, who directed him through two Hawala operators and showed it.

Deshmukh is the President of Trust and his two sons, Salil and Hrishikesh, is a guardian.
Ed has recorded the statement of the leading bar owner in the city which allegedly collected money from other bar owners who knew them to the smooth functioning of their business.
They said that in December, 60 bar owners of the orchestra paid Rs 40 lakh to abort as “good luck” money and then between January and February all bar owners collectively contributed Rs 4.3 Crore to sued Deshmukh staff, who submitted.
