New Delhi: India monitors strictly in investigation by local Afghan authorities in the case of Bansuri Lal Arinde, an Indian national reported missing in Kabul, the Foreign Ministry (MEA) said on Thursday.
MEA spokesman Arindam Bagchi said India was associated with local authorities in Kabul who was investigating this case.
“We have seen reports of people who are missing about Indian citizens, Bansuri Lal, are lost in Kabul.
We relate to all who care.
We have seen reports of local authorities who conducted an investigation,” Bagchi said.
“We will continue to monitor the situation and tell you about developments,” he added.
Bagchi said that during the Devi Shakti operation, the majority of Indians were evacuated except some left because of the closure of Kabul airport.
Bagchi said that Foreign Minister S Jaishankar had departed to attend the Summit of the Shanghai cooperation organization in Dushan which will be held on Friday.
