RANCHI: After its timely beginning on Saturday, the southwest monsoon has further progressed to pay just about all sections of Jharkhand on Sunday, IMD Ranchi stated.

But in 2020 and this season, officials stated that the monsoon has lashed the country until June 15.
According to the weather , the country acquired good rain for the last few days including Sunday.
Since June 1, the country recorded a cumulative downpour of 73.44mm against the normal rainfall of 51.1mm,” officials explained.
“The country is predicted to get good rains in another four to five times and monsoon is very likely to be even anyplace here.
Thus far the excess will be 44 percent,” stated Abhishek Anand, a weather scientist in IMD (Ranchi).
The IMD bulletin added that a very low pressure region within mid century Bay of Bengal combined with a cyclonic circulation is very likely to transfer west-northwestward throughout Odisha, Jharkhand and north west Chhattisgarh through the next few days.
According to the bulletin, Palamu has seen 154% excess rain, followed closely by 147 percent in Ranchi and 138 percent in Lohardaga.
Unconfirmed reports have indicated that the three youths got stranded at Basa river at Gumla district as a result of sudden flash flooding.
They were stranded in an island at the center of the lake for a few hours but returned after the water levels dropped.
