THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued a orange and yellow alert for a variety of districts in Kerala on the status of rain in the nation.
“Orange alert was published in Idukki, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasargod districts for Monday, whereas yellow alert was issued for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Alapuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram and Wayanad districts, and” that the IMD stated.
Based on IMD, an orange alert was issued for Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasargod districts for June 15 and 16.
“A yellow alert issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Alapuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram and Wayanad districts for June 15 and Pathanamthitta, Palakkad, Malappuram, and also Wayanad area for June 16,” IMD added.
