PANAJI: The Southwest monsoon is quite likely to progress into a sections of Goa within the forthcoming days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Friday.
The monsoon is forecast to progress further into a parts of central Arabian Sea, even a few sections of Maharashtra and Goa, the rest of the parts of Karnataka, a few parts of Andhra Pradesh, a few sections of Telangana, staying parts of Tamil Nadu, a few more elements of Central Bay of Bengal, a few sections of Northeast Bay of Bengal along with Northeast India through the following 2-3 days, IMD stated.
Following its inception over Kerala on Thursday, the Southwest monsoon progressed into the rest of the parts of south east Arabian Sea, a few sections of central Arabian Sea, staying portions of Lakshadweep and Kerala, many areas of Coastal and South interior Karnataka, a few sections of north interior Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, a few parts of Tamil Nadu, staying portions of Southwest Bay of Bengal, a few sections of west central and portions of west coast of Bengal on Friday.
