Monsoon may hit dist Following June 9

Coimbatore: Even though the southwest monsoon came from Kerala on Thursday, portions of Coimbatore across the Western Ghats, such as catchment regions of several dams in the area, could receive rain only following June 9 once a low-lying region forms across the Bay of Bengal, based on weather experts.The district might anticipate a typical rainfall of approximately 200mm.
Tamil Nadu Agricultural University’s agro climate study center manager S Ramanathan said that the district might not get widespread rainfall during the next few days as it’s becoming in the rain shadow area.
