MANGALURU/ / UDUPI: Even the monsoon weeks have consistently been a nightmare for Mescom.
Last month, at the first 13 weeks, the power distribution firm has suffered damages estimated at Rs 1.47 crore at Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Districts, together with the latter affected nearly at Rs 78.64 lakh.
At DK district, Mangaluru taluk endured the most harm of Rs 17 lakh that accounted for 86 sticks, six transformers and also 2.58 kms online harm.
In eight taluks of the district, 450 electrical rods are damaged and the price is offered at Rs 40 lakh.
Then was Sullia in which 63 sticks were ruined costing 5.72 lakh and following was Kadaba together with 56 sticks with damage estimated at Rs 5 lakh.
Mangaluru taluk also observed six transformers being ruined, the greatest at DK, along with the price was 8.40 lakh.
Mescom at DK contains eight taluks beneath it specifically Mangaluru, Modbidri, Mulki, Puttur, Sullia, Kadaba, Bantwal and Belthangady.
The previous four taluks had nil water injury.
Udupi’s loss came in the price of transformers at which 39 transformers were damaged in an estimated loss of Rs 42.33 lakh, whereas DK endured just 17 transformer hurt costing Rs 23.8 lakh.
The line harm in Udupi has been 6 kilometers with reduction estimated at Rs 4 lakh.
As many as 335 sticks were ruined from Udupi’s seven taluks specifically Udupi, Kaup, Brahmavara, Karkala, Hebri, Kundapura along with Byndoor accounting for reduction estimated at Rs 30.31 lakh.
Hebri accounted for many adhere damages at 68 estimated at Rs lakh together with Kundapura and Karkala accounting for 54 per with joint loss estimated at 10 lakh.
Kundapura consisted of 10 transformers costing 11 lakh.
Line damages have been Rs 6 lakh for 2 kilometers in Udupi.
Just Brahmavara and Byndoor had significantly less transformer harm in the one and three respectively.
Line damages were in Kaup and hebri at almost 2.30 kms each along with every joint reduction was Rs 3 lakh.
