Monsun hasn’t collected speed in Rajasthan

Jaipur: Almost a month has passed since the South West Monsoon enters the country, but has not received momentum.
Except for Jaisalmer and Bikaner, where more than the average rainfall has been reported so far, most of the districts are in the category of a little rainfall and deficit.
The average rainfall in the state was 36.4 percent less than that last year.
In accordance with the data available with Jaipur Met Office, Jaisalmer has received the highest rainfall in this season so far.
By 2020, Jaisalmer has received rainfall of nearly 55 mm to July 16, but this year until this period, the district has received 122.67 mm rainfall.
Since June 18, when the ongoing Monsoon, Jaisalmer has received abnormal rainfall, Bikaner has been included in the category of excessive rainfall, while the district including Barmer, Churu, Hanumangarh, Jalore, Jodhpur and Pratapgarh have received normal rainfall.
“Apart from this, the districts of the districts where rainfall deficits have been received so far include, Ajmer, Alwar, Banswara, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Dausa, Dungarpur, Ganganagar, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Nagaur, Pali, Rajsamand , Sawai Madhopur, Sirar, Sirohi, Tonk and Udaipur, “said an officer.
Jaipur Met Office said Monsoon’s progress was very slow this year.
“Usually on July 15, South West Monsoon brought heavy rain, such as last year until this period an average of 145.26 mm of rain had occurred, while in this period 93.05 mm rainfall was only received.
This is 36.4 percent more A little compared to that last year, “said an officer with Jaipur Met Office.
