New Delhi: The east wind has made a favorable condition for the progress of southwest monsoon and is likely to include northern Indian parts, including Delhi, Haryana and Punjab, in a day, the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) said on Saturday.
IMD said the lower East wind from Bengal Bay has extended northwest, reaching Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan Timur on Saturday.
The relatively low level humidity also increases in the region.
“Therefore, the condition continues to benefit further progress from Southwest Monsun over Delhi, the remaining parts of Uttar Pradesh and some parts of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan for the next 24 hours,” added IMD.
Conditions also become profitable for further progress from Southwest Monsun to other parts of the country for the next 48 hours.
