PANAJI: The Country Cabinet on Friday changed the Dianuand Social Security Scheme (DSSS) to increase monthly financial assistance to widows from Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500.
A total of 35,145 widows currently take advantage of the benefits under the scheme that provide monetary assistance to the most vulnerable part of society.
