Pune: Pune Circle Health Service Department has searched for more dedicated sites to offer Covaxin Jab in the Pune Metropolitan area (PMR).
According to Sanjay Deshmukh, Assistant Director (Medical), Pune Circle, this region only has a special covaxin site at the Aundh District Hospital today.
“We need a covaxin site that is more dedicated to avoid confusion between beneficiaries and accelerate the vaccination process.
In general, depending on the stock, the vaccination center is changed at the civilian limit.
Special sites will be useful for beneficiaries to vaccinate,” he said.
Sanjay Patil, Chairperson, the IMA Hospital Board in India, also said that the number of vaccination centers that offer covaxin changes from only two to twenty.
If the civil body can provide centers across the important PMR points, it can really be proven to be useful for vaccination drives and beneficiaries, patil said.
A PMC official said that they tried to keep six vaccination sites at this time stable.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, according to data from the Cowin platform, around 28,708 beneficiaries vaccinated in 75 government locations and 70 personal sites in this district.
