The Sheriff Lake County office said that new evacuations occur near Lake Grouse and Lake Mitewan because of the growth of Greenwood Lake which grew, about 15 miles southwest of Isabella City in a superior national forest.

Evacuation follows permission of more than 100 houses and cabins in the area last week.

A new Red Cross evacuation center opened in the ice arena in Babbitt, west of the fire, to complete a set up last week in the city of Finland, safely east of fire.
The Forestry Service said it was carrying a local contract logger on Monday to work on the BREAK BREAK project in the main locations to help stop the spread of fire.
The main concern that caused the closure of the waters of the boundary was a separate John Ek fire, which had burned around 800 hectares (324 hectares) in the wilderness since it was detected by August 14.
