Beleagavi: In an effort to examine the spread of Covid-19, especially Omicron, a conscious variant, the state government plans to increase the number of genome sequencing laboratories throughout the state.
The Chairman of the Minister of Bumavaraj Bommai said on Tuesday he had spoken with the Ministry of Health officials about increasing infrastructure to sort.
He said the authorities were conducting a genome sequencing of each case reported in the state.
The Ministry of Health has begun working to increase the number of laboratories so that the ups toel about the anticipated crisis, he added.
Bommai is in the Bethobaavi to campaign for MLC candidate Manganesh Kavatagimatmath.
Bommai said that as planned, the legislative session in Bataghagavi will begin on December 13.
“There is rumors that the session will not be done in Bellagvav considering the threat of omicron.
It’s wrong and unfounded.
The district government has made all arrangements and it will be strictly held to overcome Covid-19 norms,” he added.
