New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday that Parliament was not only about politics but also the policy and described content as “Connect”, said this was the same applies to the parliamentary system for the media.
Launched Sansad TV, which has been made by combining Lok Sabha TV and Rajya Sabha TV, together with Venkaiiah Naidu Vice President and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, he said it was very important that ordinary people were connected with parliament and felt that he was that part .
Parliament is actually more about policy than politics, modi said.
The new channel added another important chapter in the country’s parliament system, he said.
Noting that the launch coincides with the International Day of Democracy, Modi reaffirms that India is the mother of democracy, by saying democracy is not only a system but the idea and not only constitutional structure but the Spirit.
Democracy in India is not only a collection of constitutional items but it is the flow of our lives, the prime minister added.
