Thane: A total of 80 new local services can be operated immediately on the suburban network Mumbai mostly profitable commuters from the suburbs outside Thane, said Shivant Shinde Shinde.

Shinde made an announcement after reviewing the fifth and sixth train corridor between Thane and Diva, which was completed on midnight Monday, opened an unbroken and separate corridor for the periphery train and fatigue between Kalyan and Kurla.

Railroad officials said the separation of the corridor involved a rail length of 1.4 km, 24 main and small bridges and 170 km long tunnels along the 9 km long route that did not lack challenges.
The fifth line of Thane-Diva and six were approved in 2008-09 below MUBP II by sharing the same costs between the Railway Ministry and the State Government, told Shivaji Silar, Head of the Pro in the city center.
