Ranchi: Chairman of the Justice of the Jharkhand High Court, Justice Ravi Rajan, on Friday said that even though the status of women has improved after India became independent, they are still undergoing various forms of discrimination in each family and society.
CJ handles the three-day national seminar on the ‘Rights of Women and Human Rights in the 21st Century’, is jointly organized by the National University for Study and Research in Law, University Granting Commission, Patna University Study Center and the High Court Legal Services Committee Jharkhand.
He argues that despite the various actions and judicial statements, there is a need for change in the mindset of the community.
He added that real changes would only occur when women began to build their lives and it had begun to occur to a certain extent.
He stated, “For truly democratic India and a vibrant Republic, it must overcome the problems of democratic rights and female religion.” Former Supreme Court Judge Gyan Sudha Mishra said that all parts of society must learn to express their views objectively and without fear of problems that have an impact on society.
He said that in many families, women discriminate against other women’s members because they could not think without feeling.
Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh states that the change of law has been carried out to eliminate discrimination against women but some problems including the ratio of unprofitable male women and domestic violence is a matter of worries.
He said that education could be very important in bringing changes in women’s status.
He said it was the responsibility of everyone to improve their situation.
Justice S N Prasad shows that even though the enactment of several laws, the concept of women’s equality is at a newborn stage.
He said that the discussion must be accidental for the reason the situation and what could be done to fix it.
He said that women also had to be brave and advanced to fight for their rights.
Chairman of the National Commission for Women, Rekha Sharma, professor of Delhi University Alka Chawla and Advocate General Rajiv Ranjan is among the officials who spoke on that occasion.
